ABOUT THE CLUB

The Thirroul Junior Football Club was founded to foster and promote the sport of football in the Thirroul Area by creating a SAFE,SKILL BASED PLAYING ENVIRONMENT, where success is judged - not by winning- but by ENJOYMENT, SKILLS IMPROVEMENT AND PARTICPATION in a team and a club that is active within the community. Originally catering just for juniors (under 6 to under 18) the club has expanded first into senior womens's competitions and last year into the Illawarra Football Association's District League.
The club has enjoyed great success over the past few years – our junior ranks have grown significantly, we established senior women’s teams and last year fielded senior men’s teams in the IFA competition.
In 2008 the club had;

  • Over 430 registered junior players from, under 6’s through to 18’s,

  • Three teams – First, Reserve and Youth grades in the Illawarra Football Association’s District League

  • Three senior women’s teams in the Illawarra Women’s Football Association competitions.

All of our teams play from Helensburgh in the north, down south to Kiama and west to the Highlands.
