Deferred Matches

Matches deferred due to ANZAC Day (25 April) will be played on the weekend of 9 - 11 July. Match details are below:

Under 10 Grading

Under 10 B have been graded in Under 10 Division 4 - Competition Draw

Under 10 A has been graded in Under 10 Division 1 - Competition Draw

Coaching Clinic

One of the club’s experienced coaches, Steve Honey, will be running a coach the coaches clinic at Gibson Park this coming Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm. It’s for any coach from our club who is interested in getting some new ideas and will cover many of the things done in the Grassroots, Junior and Youth licence courses.

The clinic will concentrate on things that the New Rooball Coaches can use for the first half and then the second half of the session will be for Graded team coaches.

It will be very informal and fun. Coaches will need to be prepared with runners or boots.

Steve’s qualifications include; Asian Football Federation C Licence FFA Junior, Youth and Senior Licences. Coerver Level 1 and 2 Licences and FNSW Course Instructor.

Competition draws for most teams are now available under 2010 News/2010 Draws in the menu above. Draws are not yet available for the Under 10s and Under 11 Girls as they are currently being graded.

2010 REGISTRATION

If you missed out on the registration days its still not too late contact the club secretary at secretary@thirroulfootball.com.au
Registrations for the 2010 competition will be taken on Saturday 6 and 13 February, at Thirroul Bowling Club, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

2010 Registration Fee:

The 2010 registration fee is $100 per player, the same as 2009 and 2008.  Where a family has more than one child registering the following scale will apply - $100 per player for the first two children and $80 per player for all other children. The discount applies only for siblings in the same family unit.

Last year the approximate cost to keep a player on the field was approximately $200 made up of:

• Illawarra Junior Football Association Capitation fee

• Ground Fees - Wollongong City Council

• Referees' Fees

• Maintenance Costs - field and equipment

The difference between the $100 registration fee and the $200 cost is funded by the Club through running a Canteen and sponsorships.

Thirroul Juniors selected for Project 22

Congratulations to Dylan Ryan and Reagan Ogle who have been selected for the elite Football NSW Project 22 Squad. Dylan has been selected for the Under 10 Far South Squad and Reagan for the Under 11 Far South Squad.
