Player Profiles

Lucca Barone-Peters has had a wonderful season. Half goalie and half mid field player, he has been an immensely important and reliable member of the team. His goals keeping skills have been crucial to the team so many times while under attack and his bravery is legendary.

Caelan Briggs joined the side late in the season and has matured greatly as a player. A quiet player, he has linked well in mid field with other players and towards the end of the season has shown some real promise as a player to look out for in the future.

Nathan Ebejer has been a consistently solid player for the whole year. Shouldering the responsibility of being the coach’s son, he has shown tenacity and great potential upfront and is a committed member of the team. He has scored a number of times during the year and promises to score many more in the future.

Will Gibbeson has the feet of a wizard and never fails to confuse and frustrate the attacking opposition by whipping the ball from under their feet just as they were about to score a goal! He has saved us numerous goals throughout the year and it is always a delight to see him dancing up the line on a counter-attack!

Max Harris may be small in stature but he is BIG in heart and fast with it! His work-rate is immense and he can often be seen at one end of the pitch only to be seen at the other a few second later. Keep up the great work Max and see you next year!

Cody Jones has scored many of our goals this year. He is an excellent and talented forward player with great pace. It is always a good feeling to see him get the ball since you know that in a few seconds it will be at the other end of the pitch.

Joshua Le Page is one of the original members of the team. Well liked and quiet, he has made huge strides this year in more ways than one! He seems to have settled well in defence and works well with other team members there to keep hungry attackers at bay.

Mimi Libro has made a massive contribution to the team this year. She is never gives up and has often been seen to put through that critical pass to someone who goes onto score. Mimi is always there to support her team mates and she is a valued and important member of our team.

Elliot Loosemore has been one of our most impressive players. He is now learning to control that amazing speed he has and harness it to great effect in running the ball back at the opposition out of defence. He is one of our best defenders and you know that when he is on the field, that not many attackers will get through without being harassed!

Jasmine Maruff has improved immensely over the last year. Jasmine is strong and determined and has developed some great skills. She always comes off the field with a glowing red face which shows her amazing work rate and it is always a great feeling when she gets the ball and takes it forward – as she has often done.

Antony May has been a pillar of strength during the year. A polite, talented and unselfish player, he represents the core of our excellent attack. When ever he gets the ball, you can rest assured that we will make progress cutting through the opposition’s defence.

Nelson Reid is a passionate aficionado of soccer. He lives ad breaths it. His amazing skills (inherited from his dad we think!) have resulted in and created so many goals that it is hard to remember. Nelson can be assured to be there even when ill with Flu and the team certainly would not be the same without his natural talent.

Harry Simms is another team player with great skills. So many times he can be seen running down the wing in attack from a hopeless position! He links so well with Nelson in particular and his unselfishness has set up so many of our most important goals.

Brock Walsh is a tower of strength in defence (literally!)  No opposition player wants to come up against Brock who is more than likely to send the ball flying back to the other end of the field. Brock is also a passionate soccer player and would not miss a game for anything (even a severe knee injury!)

Jordan Wheelan missed the last 6 weeks of the season traveling the world but was always there for his team mates at the season’s start. He made great progress during the year as our number 1 goal keeper and also showed his flexibility by being able to play very well in the field as well.

Tom Wrice is one of best forwards. His small stature belies his big heart and not-stop work-rate. No one knows where the energy comes from but combined with his great ball skills, it represents a deadly attacking combination that always opens up holes in our opposition presenting many opportunities for either Tom or someone else to score a goal. Tell us what you eat for breakfast Tom!?
