Player Profiles
William Rickards - As always Will was a dependable midfielder who could read the play and support his team mates. Will used his excellent ball skills to set up an array of goals from corners, free kicks or through balls. He can create valuable play from almost any situation. Will is developing into a skilled player who can also think through the options.
Rodney Lewin - Rod consolidated his skills throughout the season, using a variety of skills and team plays to create amazing attacking opportunities for the team. Demonstrated many of his Coever skills every game scoring on a few occasions. He further developed his ability to read the play and set up his team mates, making him a valuable member of the team. "Thanks Rod".
Adam Briske - Adam played on the wing using his speed and agility to overtake other players and gain possession of the ball. His quick thinking and speed managed to turn the play around on many occasions. Adam also liked playing as a striker, always keen to have a shot and be a major part of team play.
Declan Cameron - Declan continues to improve in all areas of play, his specialty being shielding the ball, allowing our team to reposition and gain possession. He was always eager to train and took his soccer seriously. His kicking power has increased considerably this year with a great g al from outside the penalty box during a trial being a highlight. Declan is an important member of our team.
Sean Claydon - Sean started the season as our number one goal keeper, however other players injuries took their toll and he moved out onto the field on many occasions. As goal keeper he demonstrated a fearless attitude and commitment to the job and when he was out on the field he ran with determination never hesitating to take on other players and fight for possession. A fearless player.
Nathan French - Nathan dazzled the team with his able to play a variety of positions this year. He started in the midfield as a strong dependable member of the team, demonstrated flare and skill as a striker and then consolidated all these skills as a substitute goal keeper. As goal keeper he gave strategic instructions to his team, took on the other team without fear and cleared the ball over halfway on many occasions. Great work Nathan.
Steven Cortie - Steve has improved significantly this year, he listens to instructions and is a reliable player. Steve was an all rounder this year showing his versatility and skill as he happily played where ever the coach asked. Steven is an excellent team player.
Damian Lum - Damian is strong, fast, reliable back who demonstrated his commitment and skill on many occasions to create an incredibly strong defence. Frequently he ruined set attacking play by the other team and managed to smash the ball back up over half way with his powerful kicks. Damien is always there when you need him.
Stephen Mills - Steven was another integral star of our back line. His ability to read the play and spoil the attacking play of other teams created many attacking opportunities for his team. He has improved this year to a fine player well done Stephen.
Jye Mitchell - Jye is a dependable and focussed member of our back line. His ability to play as part of a team, call the play and take on other players made him an important member of the team. His ability to control play and accurate passing with both feet gave his team the advantage on many occasions. An intelligent player.
Byron Morrison Mills – Byron’s skill level has improved dramatically this year, he was very unlucky not to score with some intense attempts at goal. His right foot continues to improve and his passing precise. A dedicated team member and a handsome left footer.
James Panteli - James enjoyed playing as striker or mid field, he has glimpses of individual brilliance and is very light on his feet. He managed to completely bamboozle the opposition on several occasions passing off to his team mates and scoring a couple of times. An entertaining player to watch.
Conor Riordon - Conor is new the team, but certainly developed into an important team player, as a back he frequently amazed the team with his strong clearing kick and positional play. He was focussed and demonstrated thought when attacking and defending. A great year Conor.
