The following information relating to the Finals Series has been posted on the IJFA website

NOTICES FOR SEMI FINALS, FINALS and GRAND FINALS

1. Teams which qualify for this series should be familiar with By – Law Section 2 – 20.  Excerpts are below:

2.20.4

Player Eligibility

A player is eligible to play for a team which qualifies if

a)

The player is registered for that team OR

b)

The player is from another registered team of that Club and meets the requirements of By-Law 2.14 AND

c)

Has played a minimum of 4 matches with the Club. (Byes and wet weather cancelled rounds excluded)

2.20.5

Results of Matches

The winner of each match shall be determined by goals in normal time. In the event of a draw, in any one of the matches, ten (10) minutes each way will be played in extra time.  If the game is still drawn after extra time then penalty kicks shall take place. A five (5) minute break is to be taken between full time and the commencement of extra time.

2.20.6

Duration of Matches

The length of matches shall be the same as in the League Competition but injury and stoppage time shall be included at the discretion of the referee.

2.20.7

Referee's Fees

In all matches the referee fees will be a 25% increase on normal rates. Both teams share equally in the costs of referee's fees, which must be paid on the day of the game.

2.      2. Both teams are to :

a.       Be at the ground at least 30 minutes before kick off.

b.      Fill in the team sheet 20 minutes before kick off.

c.     Must have ID cards checked, by the ground official, with the team sheet at the designated area, at least 10 minutes before kick off.

d.      Have a suitable match ball.

e.       Give the Ground official the referee fees (cash) before kick off. (see table below)


3.    3.  Should the game be drawn at the end of extra time then the following is to occur:

a.       All players on the field are to go to the centre circle and sit down.

b.       Both coaches and managers are to stay in the technical area

c.   When the referee is ready, one player from each team is to go the sideline and get the water bottles and return to the centre.

d.   When the referee is ready, the team captains may approach the sideline in order to receive instructions as necessary.

4.     4.  Cautions

In the final series, all yellow cards for cautions restart. (see By-law 1.15.2.2)

If a player receives two yellow cards in the final series then the player will be suspended for one (1) match.

5.    5. Protest

If there is a protest in a match then the Home Club officials are to investigate the incident, obtain written statements from both clubs and forward this onto the Association. Please note that the Home Club cannot give a decision on the protest. The IJFA will make a determination.
