Shellharbour are currently 3rd on the ladder so this was another big game for us. The lads were very determined from the start & we saw a huge improvement from our defense. It was a very tight game & we went in 0-0 at half time. Bondy was able to isolate their defender (& coach) straight after half time who cynically pulled him down from behind as a last defender. From the free kick we scored anyway but their player was lucky to get away with just a yellow. The Thunder boys continued to defend well, with Shellharbour having to shoot from well outside the box. They got lucky when they scuffed a shot from 35 metres, Thomo was unsighted & it was back level. We continued to play well although they lifted & we were hanging on. Thomo made a couple of great saves in this period. They got lucky again when we had a couple of chances to clear a ball; their striker found the ball at his feet & hammered one into the top corner. We deserved a lot better from this game. Well done boys.
