Women's Football - 2008 Competition

LADIES DAY

In conjunction with Round 8 of the Illawarra Women's Tier 1 and 2 Competitions the club ran a successfully Ladies Day on Sunday 22 June. In addition to having both Thirroul Women's teams playing at home the club ran fund raising for the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Tragically on this same day Jane McGrath, wife of test cricketer Glen and Breast Cancer research fund raiser passed away from cancer - the club sends it condolences to her family and encourages club members to make a contribution to the McGrath Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Thirroul Thunder First Grade Coach, Alan Thompson, purchases bandannas, part of the club's fund raising activities.

On the field there was a matching set of results, both Tier 1 and 2 teams had 1 - 1 draws, with Kiama and Fernhill respectively. Pictures from the matches are below
